In a meeting with Brigadier General (Retired) Paul Kahuria Njema, Director of the EASF, in Kampala, Minister Oboth-Oboth emphasized the crucial role of the EASF in regional security, conflict resolution, and prevention.

The development partners of EASF, represented by Jens Lindvig, the Danish Defence Attache to Kenya, were also lauded for their funding support.

It comprises troops from 14 member states, including Burundi, Comoros Islands, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Rwanda, Somalia, Seychelles, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
