Telangana State Intermediate Exam Results to be Released on April 24

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) announced the results for the Intermediate 1st and 2nd year exams on April 24, 2024. The exams were conducted in February and March, with approximately 10 lakh students appearing for the tests across the state.

Burra Venkatesham, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Telangana Government, Education Department, and Shruti Ojha, IAS, Secretary, Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education, declared the results for both the General and Vocational streams. Students can access their scores on the official TSBIE websites, tsbie.cgg.gov.in and results.cgg.gov.in, using their roll code and roll number.

Why this matters: The Telangana Intermediate exam results are vital for students as they determine their eligibility for higher education and future career prospects. The performance of students in these exams also reflects the quality of education in the state and the effectiveness of the education system.

The overall pass percentage for the 1st year stands at 60.01%, while the 2nd year pass percentage is 64.19%. Girls have outperformed boys in both years, with 68.68% of girls clearing the 1st year exam compared to 54.66% of boys. In the 2nd year, 71.57% of girls passed, while only 55.60% of boys qualified.

Ranga Reddy district topped the 1st year results, followed by Medchal district. Over 1.5 lakh students scored more than 75% in both the 1st and 2nd year exams. The TSBIE will conduct supplementary exams from May 24 onwards for students who did not pass the regular exams.

To pass the TS Inter exams, students must secure a minimum of 35% marks in each subject, except for blind, deaf, and dumb candidates who need 25% passing marks. Students who are dissatisfied with their results can apply for re-verification or obtain a scanned copy of their answer script from April 25 to May 2.

Expressing satisfaction with the results, TSBIE Secretary Shruti Ojha stated, "We are pleased with the performance of students in the Intermediate exams this year. The pass percentage has improved compared to the previous year, and girls have once again outshined boys. We wish all the students the very best for their future endeavors."
