NFL Star Logan Wilson Hosts Charity Events to Support Wyoming Nonprofits

Logan Wilson, linebacker for the Cincinnati Bengals and former University of Wyoming standout, is giving back to his home state through a series of charity events. Wilson has partnered with University of Wyoming students to raise funds for local nonprofits that support underserved communities across the state.

The charity initiative, called "Logan's Legacy," includes a golf tournament, silent auction, and gala dinner. Proceeds from the events will benefit organizations such as the Wyoming Food Bank, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming, and the Unaccompanied Students Initiative, which assists homeless youth.

"Growing up in Wyoming, I know firsthand the challenges that many families and individuals face," Wilson said. "I want to use my platform as an NFL player to make a positive impact and support the organizations that are working tirelessly to help those in need."

University of Wyoming students are playing a key role in organizing and promoting the charity events. A team of marketing and event planning majors has volunteered their time and skills to ensure the success of "Logan's Legacy."

"It's inspiring to see a hometown hero like Logan giving back to our community," said Sarah Thompson, a senior at the University of Wyoming who is leading the student volunteer team. "We're honored to be a part of this initiative and to help raise awareness and funds for these important causes."

The golf tournament and silent auction will take place on June 15th at the Casper Country Club, followed by the gala dinner at the University of Wyoming Conference Center that evening. Wilson will be in attendance at both events, along with several of his Cincinnati Bengals teammates.

"I'm grateful for the support of my teammates, the University of Wyoming, and everyone who has helped make 'Logan's Legacy' a reality," Wilson said. "Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most."

Wilson, a native of Casper, Wyoming, was a three-time captain for the University of Wyoming football team before being drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2020. He has quickly become a rising star in the NFL, known for his leadership on and off the field.

The "Logan's Legacy" charity events are expected to raise over $100,000 for Wyoming nonprofits. Wilson plans to make the initiative an annual tradition, with the goal of expanding its reach and impact in the coming years.

"This is just the beginning," Wilson said. "I'm committed to using my success to give back to the state that has given me so much. Wyoming will always be my home, and I want to do my part to make it a better place for everyone."
