Amazon Unveils Star-Studded Heist Thriller 'Haven' withSophie Turner

Amazon Prime Video has announced a gripping new heist series titled 'Haven', starring Sophie Turner, known for her role as Sansa Stark in 'Game of Thrones'. Thecontemporary thriller, written by crime novelist S.A. Nikias, follows a violent heist at Lochmill Capital, a pension fund investment company, where Turner plays Zara, an ordinary office worker who finds herself at the center of the high-stakes crime.

The series begins with a typical workday at Lochmill Capital that is violently disrupted by thieves who force Zara and her best friend Luke, played by Archie Madekwe, to execute their demands. DCI Rhys, portrayed by Jacob Fortune-Lloyd of 'The Queen's Gambit' fame, is thedetectivetasked with investigating the heist while grappling with his own money problems and recently relapsed gambling addiction. "Haven is a uniquely thrilling ride that will offer a gripping, addictive, entertaining story for Prime Video subscribers,"said Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios.

'Haven' marks Nikias' television writing debut, with the crime novelist penning the script for the series. Sam Miller, known for his work on 'I May Destroy You' and 'Black Mirror', is set to executive produce and direct the first three episodes. "We were astonished by Nikias' debut script... his rollercoasting, nail-biting, and funny scripts have rightly attracted a tremendous cast and top-tier creative team," said Rebecca de Souza and Greg Brenman of Drama Republic, the production company behind the series.

The series is produced by Drama Republic and Amazon MGM Studios. No release date has been announced yet, but 'Haven' is expected to premiere on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide. Sophie Turner, who earned an Emmy nomination for her performance in the final season of 'Game of Thrones', will next be seen in the true-crime drama series 'The Staircase' and the upcoming Gothic horror film 'The Dreadful'.
