Kristen Stewartand Oscar Isaac are set to headline the upcoming vampire thriller "Flesh of the Gods", directed by Panos Cosmatos and produced by Adam McKay. The film, scheduled to begin production later this year, takes place in 1980s Los Angeles and follows a married couple who descend into an electric nocturnal world each evening.

"This director, this writer, these incredible actors, vampires, choice 80's punk, style and attitude for miles," said producer Adam McKay. "We think it's wildly commercial and wildly artful." The screenplay is written by Andrew Kevin Walker, based on a story by Cosmatos and Walker.

Director Panos Cosmatos described the film's atmosphere, saying, "Like Los Angeles itself, Flesh of the Gods inhabits the borderland between fantasy and nightmare. Both propulsive and hypnotic, Flesh will take you on a hot rod joy ride deep into the glittering heart of hell. "This marks Cosmatos' thirdcollaborationwith XYZ Films, who are also developing "Nekrokosm" with A24.

Stewart, who earned an Oscar nomination for her role in "Spencer", recently starred in the film "Love Lies Bleeding". Welsh operatic mezzo-soprano star Katherine Jenkins serves as an executive producer on the project.
