Quebec Country Singer Matt Lang Tops Charts with Nashville Album

Matt Lang, a 33-year-old country singer from Maniwaki, Quebec, has achieved remarkable success with his latest English-languagealbum, etrecorded in Nashville. The album, titled "All Night Longer," quickly topped the iTunes Country Album chart and earned Lang the prestigious English Album of the Year award at the Quebec Gala Country in 2018.

Lang's journey to Nashville was a bold move, considering he didn't speak a word of English at the time. "Le trip d'une vie! Je suis chanceux d'avoir fait cet album avec des gens pour qui le country est leur culture,"Lang said about his experience recording at the famous Vive Recordings and Addiction Sound Studios, which he described as "the trip of a lifetime."

The album features songs written by Lang himself, as well as collaborations with American country singers Kameron Marlowe and Eric Paslay. Lang's hard work and dedication have paid off, as he recently received a gold ticket for selling an impressive 50,000 tickets for his tour. "Ça représente beaucoup de travail. On en fait de la route et on ne compte plus les heures qu'on met dans ce projet-là. Pas juste moi, mais mon équipe de course aussi. Quand des gens se donnent corps et âme pour toi, tu ne peux pas ignorer ça,"Lang reflected on the achievement.

Since 2020, Lang has performed over 150 live shows, entertaining ever-growing crowds. He recently launched his new album at the MTELUS venue in Montreal, which was packed to capacity. Lang also made an appearance on Music Friday, a program featured on CHCH-TV, a news leader for Hamilton and the surrounding Halton and Niagara regions since 1954, to perform his latest single, "All Night Longer."

Looking to the future, Lang has big dreams for his music career. "J'aimerais encore vivre de ma musique et pouvoir dire que j'aurai fait le Grand Ole Opry à Nashville. C'est un rêve de jeunesse et l'extase pour un chanteur country," he shared, expressing his desire to continue living off his music and one day perform at the iconic Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, a childhood dream and the ultimate goal for a country singer.

Fans can catch Matt Lang on tour this summer, with performances scheduled at Trois-Rivières on June 7, the LASSO Montréal festival on August 17, where he is the spokesperson, and the Rodéo MSA de Sainte-Anne de Beaupré on August 24. With a pied-à-terre in Nashville and a deep admiration for country songwriter-interpreter Eric Paslay, Lang is poised to continue making waves in the country music scene on both sides of the border.
