Snowmass Rodeo Celebrates 50 Years of Western Heritage

The Snowmass Rodeo, a long-standing tradition in Snowmass Village, Colorado, is gearing up for a milestone celebration this summer. Ranked the 6th best rodeo in the United States by USA Today, the event will mark its 50th anniversary with 10 action-packed nights from June 19 to August 21, 2024.

Every Wednesday night, the rodeo grounds will come alive with excitement as the main event kicks off at 7pm. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, with doors opening at 5pm, to enjoy a variety ofpre-rodeo activities. These include a petting zoo, mechanical bull rides, shopping, and dinner. Kids can also sign up for the popular Mutton Bustin' event at 5:30pm.

The Snowmass Rodeo is a rain-or-shine event, ensuring that the show will go on regardless of the weather conditions. This commitment to delivering an unforgettable experience for attendees has been a hallmark of the rodeo throughout its five-decade history.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary, a special evening is planned for July 3rd. This event will celebrate 50 years of Snowmass Western Heritage, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports scholarships for the rodeo and the local community. Additionally,unique actswill debut at every rodeo throughout the anniversary season, adding an extra element of excitement for spectators.

Due to increased parking restrictions, attendees are advised that no parking will be allowed on roadway shoulders near the event. Instead, rodeo guests are encouraged to use public transportation from the Brush Creek Park & Ride or the Base Village Parking Garage. Limited parking is available at the Rodeo Lot and the gravel lot at Black Saddle, with overflow parking at the Two Creeks Parking Lot and the Anderson Ranch Arts Center/Snowmass Chapel. Free shuttles will operate on a loop to theRodeo Groundsfrom these lots, and some Snowmass lodging providers may offer rides to and from the event.
