X-Men '97 Creator TeasesStar Trek Connectionin Season Finale

Beau DeMayo, the creator of X-Men '97, has sparked speculation about a potential time loop plot and a possible cameo by Kelsey Grammer in the Season 1 finale. DeMayo shared an image on X (formerly Twitter) related to the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Cause and Effect," with the caption: "Here's some extra credit homework for next week's episode xmen97 startrek".

The Star Trek episode "Cause and Effect" features the Enterprise crew stuck in a time loop, reliving the same events. DeMayo responded to a comment suggesting a similar situation might occur in the X-Men '97 finale, fueling speculation about a connection between the two series.

The connection to "Cause and Effect" has led to speculation about a possible time loop plot in the X-Men '97 finale, which could potentially bring back characters who were recently killed off, such as Gambit and Madelyne Pryor. Additionally, the fate of Wolverine after Magneto ripped the Adamantium off his skeleton could be revisited.

Notably, Kelsey Grammer, who appeared in the Star Trek episode, also played Beast in the X-Men film franchise. Grammer recently made a surprise appearance in the post-credits scene of The Marvels, leading to speculation about a potential cameo in X-Men '97.

However, DeMayo has seemingly shot down the time loop theory, responding "Not necessarily" to a question about it on X. Despite this, fans are still excited to see how the Season 1 finale will play out when it streams next Wednesday on Disney+.
