KeyBank has entered a new multi-year partnership with the Portland Timbers and Portland Thorns FC, which includes naming rights to the northeast entrance of Providence Park. The entrance will be unveiled as the KeyBank Community Plaza on May 9, 2024.

The partnership aims to highlight local nonprofits and small businesses on match days, promoting community engagement and social responsibility. The KeyBank Community Plaza will host a local nonprofit or small business on Timbers and Thorns match days, offering fans the opportunity to learn about the organization at an informational table on the concourse.

The Timbers will provide marketing support throughout the matchday to generate awareness and exposure for the participating organizations. KeyBank has collaborated with the Timbers and Thorns on various local initiatives, including Fields For All projects, Boys and Girls Club opportunities, and Stand Together Week.

Timbers CEO Heather Davis expressed excitement about the partnership, stating,"We are very excited to have KeyBank return as a partner and look forward to unveiling the KeyBank Community Plaza to Timbers and Thorns fans. "Alexis Lee, President of Business Operations for the Thorns FC, added,"We are pleased to continue to partner with KeyBank... We look forward to collaborating with them as we both work to provide a positive impact on small businesses across the Portland area."

Josh Lyons, KeyBank Oregon and SW Washington Market President, emphasized the bank's commitment to the community, saying, "We are proud to sponsor the Providence Park KeyBank Community Plaza... We hope this space provides a sense of gathering, togetherness, and celebration for the years to come."

The KeyBank Community Plaza will be unveiled on May 9, 2024, at the corner of SW Morrison St and SW 18th Ave from 3-4 pm Pacific Time. Club representatives, including CEO Heather Davis, VP of Community and Social Impact Dr. Robin Beavers, Thorns FC President of Business Operations Alexis Lee, Timbers players Eric Miller and Santiago Moreno, and Thorns FC players Sam Coffey and Meghan Klingenberg, will be in attendance.

KeyBank will be represented by Market President Josh Lyons, and the new nonprofit and small business platform will be demonstrated at the event with MESO and L M Hair Academy in attendance. The partnership marks KeyBank's 13th season with the club, with community at the forefront of the collaboration.

The KeyBank Community Plaza at Providence Park exemplifies the commitment of both KeyBank and the Portland Timbers and Thorns FC to support local nonprofits and small businesses. By providing a platform for these organizations to engage with fans on match days, the partnership aims to generate awareness and make a positive impact on the Portland community.
