Mahindra XUV 3XO to Feature Segment's Largest Panoramic Sunroof

Mahindra is set to unveil the updated version of its XUV300 compact SUV, called the XUV 3XO, on April 29, 2024 in India. The key highlight of the new model is the inclusion of the segment's largest panoramic sunroof, called the 'Skyroof'. This feature is expected to be a major selling point for the XUV 3XO, as it will provide an enhanced open-air experience for passengers.

The XUV 3XO will feature a significantly updated design and a wide range of features, including the AdrenoX operating system, a fully digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree surround view camera, Level 2 ADAS, and a premium sound system. On the safety front, the XUV 3XO will receive seven airbags.

Mahindra has already started accepting bookings for the XUV 3XO across India at an amount of ₹21,000. The compact SUV will compete with other models like the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Hyundai Venue upon its launch.

The XUV 3XO is expected to continue with the same powertrain options as the current XUV300, including a 1.2-litre NA petrol, 1.2-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, paired with a six-speed manual and a six-speed AMT gearbox. Mahindra has teased that the vehicle will get a styling revamp with a new front fascia, revised grille, redesigned projector LED headlamps, and fresh daytime running lights. It will also have new alloys and connected LED tail lamps at the rear.

Why this matters: The launch of the Mahindra XUV 3XO with its segment-leading panoramic sunroof is expected to intensify competition in the compact SUV market in India. The inclusion of advanced features and safety equipment could set a new benchmark for vehicles in this segment.

To make room for the new model, Mahindra is offering discounts of up to ₹1.59 lakh on existing stocks of the XUV300. "The XUV 3XO will be a game-changer in the compact SUV segment with its first-in-class features and updated design," said a Mahindra spokesperson. The XUV 3XO is anticipated to be priced between Rs. 9 lakh to Rs. 15 lakh (ex-showroom) when it launches on April 29, 2024.
