A devastating accident on the Dhaka-Tangail highway in Gazipur's Konabari, Bangladesh, has left two motorcyclists dead and one critically injured. The incident occurred on the evening of May 11, 2024, when a pickup van collided with the motorcycle carrying the three individuals.

According to Sub-inspector Tapas of Konabari Police Station, "Three people riding on a motorcycle were on way to Dhaka from Konabari. A pickup van hit their bike, leaving two of the three dead on the spot." The third motorcyclist, who sustained critical injuries, was immediately rushed to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College and Hospital for emergency treatment.

The fatal collision took place around 9 pm in the Bymile area of the Gazipur-Tangail Highway, which falls under the jurisdiction of Konabari police station. The impact of the crash was so severe that Monzur Sarker and Ehosan Hasan died instantly at the scene.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the tragic incident, with a case being filed in connection with the accident. However, Officer-in-Charge of Konabari Thana K M Ashraf Uddin stated that the vehicle responsible for hitting the motorcycle has not yet been identified.
