Arpita Khan Visits Nizamuddin Dargah After Shooting Incident at Salman Khan's House

Arpita Khan, the sister of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, visited the revered Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah in Delhi on Friday to pray for her brother's safety. The visit comes just days after a shocking gun-firing incident outside Salman Khan's residence in Mumbai on April 14.

The attack left Salman Khan's family and fans unsettled. Two unidentified men on a motorbike fired four to five rounds outside the actor's Galaxy Apartments home in Bandra around 5 am before fleeing the scene. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported.

The Mumbai Police swiftly arrested the two accused men, identified as Vicky Gupta, 24, and Sagar Pal, 21, from Bihar. During questioning, the accused revealed they were instructed to discharge 10 rounds and had two guns, one of which has been recovered from the Tapi River in Gujarat. The search for the second firearm is ongoing.

Investigators believe the accused were receiving instructions from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi. Anmol claimed responsibility for the attack in a Facebook post traced to an IP address in Portugal, stating it was just a "trailer." Both brothers have now been declared wanted by the Mumbai Police in connection with the case.

Reacting to the incident, Salman Khan's brother Arbaaz Khan called it "very disturbing and unnerving" for the family. Arpita Khan's husband, actor Aayush Sharma, expressed that it is a challenging period and the family is standing together. He commended the Mumbai Police's efforts in swiftly arresting the accused.

Despite the attack, Salman Khan appears unfazed and was recently seen traveling to Dubai for a Karate Combat event. His father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, stated that the attack was carried out to "attract attention."

Why this matters: The brazen shooting incident targeting one of Bollywood's biggest stars has raised serious concerns about celebrity security and the growing threat of organized crime in Mumbai.
