Blum Unveils Experience Centre in Hyderabad, Showcasing Innovative Furniture Solutions

On May 11, 2024, Austrian hardware manufacturer Blum inaugurated its first experience centre in Hyderabad, India, at Gachibowli. The centre, launched in partnership with Space Interior India, offers direct access to Blum's high-quality furniture fittings and innovative solutions for modern living spaces.

The experience centre showcases an extensive array of Blum's signature product categories, including advanced drawer systems, hinges, lift systems, and seamless motionopens, experiencetechnologies. Visitors can explore renowned products such as LEGRABOX, AVENTOS, CLIP top BLUMOTION, and TANDEM, allowing them to witness these solutions firsthand.

Why this matters: The launch of this experience centre marks a significant milestone in the growth of the Indian furniture market, which is shifting towards modular solutions. As the demand for modern and ergonomic living spaces increases, this centre's innovativesolutions will have a broader impact on the industry and consumers alike.

We have over two decades of presence in India, and we remain committed to innovation and excellence," said Nadeem Patni, Managing Director of Blum India. The centre was inaugurated by Patni, alongside Sameer Waingankar, Sales Director of Blum India, and Sekhar Raju K, Director of Space Interior India.

Blum, a family-owned company, has eight plants in Vorarlberg, Austria, production sites in Poland, Brazil, China, and the USA, and 33 subsidiaries and representative offices globally. The company delivers its top-quality, "made in Austria" furniture fittings to customers in the trade, furniture industry, interior design segment, and end consumers in over 120 countries.

In India, Blum has 60 franchisees and plans to expand further in Hyderabad, with another experience centre set to open soon. Patni stated that Hyderabad is a promising market for the company, driven by the growing demand for modular furniture. The Indian furniture market, valued at around Rs 1000 crore, is shifting towards modular solutions, with the Gen Next focusing on solution-focused products. Blum aims to garner a one-third share of this market.

The experience centre also features the AgeExplorer® age simulation suit, a research tool that helps predict future needs in kitchen design. "The suit allows users to know today what their requirements might be tomorrow, ensuring that kitchens meet current and future needs," explained Patni.
