Suzuki Launches Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Edition in India at Rs 17.70 Lakh

Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Celebration Edition in India, priced at Rs 17.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The special edition model commemorates 25 years since the iconic Hayabusa was first unveiled at Intermot, Germany in 1998.

The 25th Anniversary Edition features a striking orange and black dual-tone color scheme, gold-anodized components, a 25th anniversary emblem, and a three-dimensional Suzuki logo on the fuel tank. It also includes a single-seat cowling as standard equipment. Mechanically, the motorcycle remains unchanged, powered by the same 1,340cc, inline four-cylinder engine that produces 190 bhp and 150 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed transmission with a bi-directional quickshifter.

The Hayabusa is equipped with the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), which includes advanced electronic aids like traction control and a bi-directional quickshifter. The motorcycle has been a flagship offering for Suzuki in India since the commencement of its production and sales in 2016.

Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycle India, stated that the launch of the 25th Anniversary Celebration Edition commemorates the Hayabusa's remarkable path and reaffirms Suzuki's commitment to delivering motorcycles that engage with riders around the world.

The special edition model commands a premium of Rs 80,000 over the standard Hayabusa, which is priced at Rs 16.90 lakh (ex-showroom). While the Hayabusa has no direct rivals in the Indian market due to the discontinuation of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R, it competes with other litre-class bikes like the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and BMW S1000 RR in a similar price range.

The Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Celebration Edition is now available at Suzuki dealerships across India. The launch of this special edition model not only pays tribute to the legacy of the iconic Hayabusa but also highlights its long-lasting popularity and timeless appeal among motorcycle enthusiasts in the country.
