Ferrero North America has inaugurated its first, opens, plant chocolate processing facility in North America, marking a significant milestone for the European confectionery giant. The new 70,000-square-foot facility, located at Ferrero's manufacturing campus in Bloomington, Illinois, will produce chocolate for iconic brands such as Kinder, Ferrero Rocher, Butterfinger, and Crunch.

Ferrero has a significant manufacturing presence in Illinois, with facilities in Franklin Park and Chicago in addition to the Bloomington campus. The company's expansion in Bloomington was celebrated by city officials. Beyond Illinois, Ferrero has invested in its Brantford, Ontario, Canada plant and added distribution centers in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Arizona. The company has also supported Oregon's hazelnut growers as part of its commitment to sourcing high-quality ingredients.

Ferrero North America, a division of the Ferrero Group, employs over 5,100 people across eight offices and 12 plants and warehouses in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. The company sells its confectionery products under a wide variety of brands in more than 170 countries worldwide.

The opening of the Bloomington chocolate processing facility represents a key development in Ferrero's North American expansion. With its state-of-the-art capabilities and significant production capacity, the plant will play a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for Ferrero's beloved chocolate brands across the region.
