Xur Returns to Destiny 2 with New Exotics and Legendary Gear

Xur, the enigmatic Agent of the Nine, has made his anticipated return to Destiny 2 on Friday, May 10, 2024. The intergalactic merchant arrives bearing a fresh inventory of exotic weapons, armor, and legendary gear for Guardians to acquire in exchange for Legendary Shards. This week, players can find Xur in The Tower, tucked away inside the Hangar area.

Among Xur's offerings is the Lord of Wolves, a formidable Solar shotgun that operates akin to a pulse rifle, unleashing a devastating burst of fiery rounds. Hunters can secure the Liar's Handshake gauntlets, which synergize well with Arc builds thanks to the Cross Counter perk, enabling a potent healing counterpunch. Titans have the option of the classic ACD/0 Feedback Fence, built around absorbing damage and retaliating with stored energy. Warlocks can obtain the versatile Aeon Soul, which can be customized with mods like the Sect of Force to deal bonus damage against Champions.

Xur also has Hawkmoon available, a hand cannon with randomized rolls. While this week's perks make it a fairly average roll overall, it does come with the useful Quickdraw trait, ideal for those old-fashioned showdowns. As always, Xur's inventory is available for purchase using Legendary Shards.

To locate Xur, Guardians should spawn in at the Courtyard transmat zone in the Tower. From there, head left and descend the staircase into the Hangar. Make another left and proceed to the northern end of the Hangar, where a stairway leads up to a catwalk. It is here that Xur has set up shop for the weekend.

Xur is a recurring weekend vendor in Destiny 2 who appears every Friday at the daily reset, which occurs at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. While his specific location changes each week, he can always be found in one of three destinations: The Tower Hangar, Watcher's Grave on Nessus, or the Winding Cove in the European Dead Zone (EDZ). Xur will remain in his selected location until the next weekly reset on Tuesday.

Xur's return coincides with the introduction of three new Crucible maps and the New Territory playlist this week. However, due to these additions, Trials of Osiris has been postponed for a second week in a row. The competitive PvP mode is slated to resume on May 17, featuring one of the new maps in rotation for the remainder of the season.
